Which type fits?
Before you cut.
See the basic steps for installing a BigAir 45 wall vent, using photos from its installation sheet.
- 01
Mark the opening
Choose and clean the area. Use the included paper template to mark the cutting lines.
- 02
Cut the opening
Cut along the marked lines with a zip cutter.
- 03
Position the vent
Place the vent in the opening and check that it sits evenly.
- 04
Drill mounting holes
Drill 10 holes, five on each side, as shown in the BigAir 45 guide.
- 05
Fasten the vent
Secure it with rivets or self-tapping screws. The guide recommends rivets.
- 06
Seal the edges
Apply caulk all around the vent to seal it.
Good to know.
Do passive vents need electricity?
No. The passive BigAir wall vents and Sky Light roof vent have no powered fan.
What is the difference between fan only and a bundle?
A fan-only listing contains the fan described on its product page. The bundles shown here pair a fan with intake vents; some include screen mesh. Check the exact Amazon listing before ordering.
Will a US Amazon link take Canadian shoppers to Amazon.ca?
Amazon OneLink can offer local matches when an applicable local listing and Associates setup are available. The destination is controlled by Amazon; check the final listing and delivery options for your location.
Why are prices shown on Amazon rather than here?
Amazon pricing and availability change. Use each product's Amazon button for the current offer in your region.
